The "Kamerton" Artists' Public Organization was founded in 2002 and was active in Armenian musical culture for about 4 years. During its time, it took significant steps, such as establishing the first youth chamber orchestra in the Armenian cultural scene at that time and organizing its regular concert activities. The young performers, through solo performances, and the performing groups of "Kamerton," including the chamber orchestra, participated in numerous cultural and social-cultural projects and events. A notable fact is that in 2003, within the framework of the celebratory events organized by "Kamerton" for the 100th anniversary of A. Khachaturian, the organization raised the issue of replacing the national anthem of Armenia with a Khachaturian version. Being a unique center for intellectuals, Kamerton has always had a principled, professional approach to the issues of the development of Armenian musical culture.
In 2019, after a long break, "Kamerton" was reorganized as a cultural public organization.
