Armen Harutyunyan /head of the jury/ - Armenian violinist, pedagogue, public figure, Professor of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. In 1984 he graduated from Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory as a violinist (class of Professor G. Bogdanyan) and in 1999 received postgraduate degree under the guidance of Professor A. Shamshyan.
Since 1987 he has been actively teaching in the leading music schools of Yerevan, in A. Babajanyan State Musical-Pedagogical College and in the Conservatory. Over the years, he has been a jury member of many competitions, held master classes in various cities of Belgium, Lebanon, the USA, Armenia and Artsakh.
Most of his students are laureates of international, pan-Armenian and republican competitions.
Since 1993 he has been working in Yerevan Arno Babajanyan State Musical-Pedagogical College as a vice-director, and since 2008 as a director.
Harutyunyan is the founder and chairman of "Kamerton" Cultural NGO since 2002 and is the art-director of “Arno Babajanyan International Competition-Festival for Junior and Young Pianists” since 2011.
Armen Harutyunyan is an Honored Teacher of RA, awarded the Gold Medal of RA Ministry of Education and Science and the honorary medal “Grigor Narekatsi” of RA Ministry of Culture. |
